ASME PRESSURE VESSELS

The American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME) is a professional engineering society. It is one of the oldest standards-developing organizations in the world. It produces approximately 600 codes and standards.

The largest ASME standard is the ASME Boiler and Pressure Vessel Code (BPVC). The BPVC standard provides rules for the design, fabrication, and inspection of boilers and pressure vessels.

JMW LLC was granted certification in the 1960’s to design and fabricate vessels in accordance with the A.S.M.E. Boiler and Pressure Vessel code. As such JMW has extensive knowledge and experience utilizing and applying this code. JMW possesses both the A.S.M.E. “U and “R” stamps which grants certification to design and fabricate not only new vessels, but also allows for the modification of existing vessels. Review and re-certification of JMW’s “U” and “R” stamps is performed every three years by the governing authority of A.S.M.W. Boiler and Pressure vessels.
